This weekend in California, many students are graduating from law school and getting ready to start their bar exam. There is a large group of students who graduated in December, took the bar exam in February, and are walking today.
I was one of those students when I took my bar exam.
Traditionally, the bar exam graders have released bar exam results the same weekend as graduation. This could be a double-edged sword. If you passed, then it was a fantastic weekend, filled with graduation and passing results.
If not, it begs to question how excited you might be. Yes, you are now graduating from law school, which is a giant accomplishment, but then you can’t celebrate passing the bar exam with family and friends.
It appears California has become more nice and delayed providing results to February bar exam takers for at least another week, allowing them to truly enjoy this weekend with friends or family (or just creating another week of anxiety).
What do you think? Would you want bar exam results to come out the same weekend as you graduated or have them on separate weekends?
